Our student Council

Gráinne Nolan

2nd year

This year I joined the student council as the second year rep. I was really excited to join and to be able to be the voice of my year. It taught me to be confident using my voice and especially using it for the benefit of the whole school community. When I joined I thought it would be a piece of cake but it wasn't (not in a bad way). I was able to join not only a group but a family of amazing student reps who taught me amazing life skills that I would be able to carry with me throughout life in and out of school. When we were arranging for the schools annual sports day it took us many months to do. We had to negotiate deals with a lot of different people and companies. Along with the sports day we also planned non-uniform day to help us fundraise for sports day. I enjoyed my time immensely on the council and I would recommend any student to give it a try. I’m looking forward to next year to see what our student council will do in 2019 and 2020.
